Iran: Large “Iran cheque”

The Central Bank, continuing its program to replace the “bank cheques” issued by

private banks will issue a new 2 million rials cheque in October. The ones of

500,000 and 1 million rials are already in circulation.

 

Iraq: Redenomination.

The Central Bank announced that it is planning the redenomination of the Iraqi dinar,

by dropping several zeros.

 

Israel: New notes.

A new series of notes is being planned for release in 2010.

 

Libya: New 50 dinars note.

A 50 dinars note has been recently issued.

 

Mauritius: New notes.

The Bank of Mauritius is advancing in its project to release new notes in 2009.

 

Mexico: New 200 pesos note.

A 200 pesos note of the new family will be released to circulation next week.

Rwanda: New notes.

The notes of 1,000 francs recently issued bear the new name of the

bank “Banki Nkuru y’u Rwanda” instead of the old one “Banki Nasiyonali y’u Rwanda”

 

Turkey: New family of notes.

The new notes in “Turkish liras” instead of “New Turkish liras” will be issued at

the beginning of 2009. A 200 lira note will be added to the series, and the 1 lira

will be only issued in coin form.
