Anguilla:
New currency import-export rules. The import or export of
more than XCD10,000 (=USD3,700) or its equivalent must be
declared. China:
Olympic commemorative notes. On the occasion of the
Olympic Games in Beijing a 10 yuan note will be released to circulation.
Only 6,000,000 million notes will be issued, which makes this note a hot
collectors item. Equatorial Africa:
Older notes still valid. The Banque des Etats de
l’Afrique Centrale reminded the public that both the recent and the
1992 family of notes remain legal tender, and should be accepted in
commerce. Nicaragua:
New notes. The polymer 20 cordobas and
the paper 200 cordobas notes are expected to be issued after
September. A just released 10 cordobas note will gradually replace the notes of same value. Pakistan:
New 5 and 50 rupees notes. New 5 and 50 rupees notes
were presented to the public, but not yet released to
circulation. UAE:
New 200 dirhams note. A new 200 dirhams note
dated 2004 has been recently issued. The release of this note
was delayed until the stock of the 1989 dated notes was
exhausted.
