Morocco:  Improved 20 dirhams notes.

It was announced this week that Morocco has issued 20 dirham notes

printed on "long life" paper produced by the German firm Louisenthal.

The next note to be produced on this new substrate will be the 50 dirham.

Venezuela:  Extension of legal tender status.

The notes expressed in old bolívares, which were slated to lose their

legal tender status at the end of the month, will remain legal tender

until the end of the year.

At that time they were supposed to be demonetized, but it was announced

that the situation will be then reconsidered to decide whether or not to

extend the redemption period.
