Bangladesh: New note.

It has been reported that the 1,000 taka note maybe issued before the end of the year

 

Czech Republic:  Withdrawal of 50 koruna notes.

The National Bank is replacing current 50 koruna notes for coins.

However the notes remain legal tender.

East Caribbean: Modified notes.

The territorial bars have been eliminated from the newer notes.

 

Honduras:  New printer for 20 and 50 lempiras.

The 20 and 50 lempiras notes dated 2006 are printed by De la Rue.

There are slight differences in the security features.

 

Mexico: New 1,000 pesos note.

This is the new 1,000 pesos note recently issued.

 

Nepal: No king on the 1,000 rupees.

As Nepal is becoming a Republic, the new 1,000 rupees notes have

Mount Everest as their main motif. The king’s portrait in the watermark

is covered by a red rosette.

 

Northern Ireland:  New Bank of Ireland notes.

The Bank of Ireland has recently issued new notes.

The £20 notes show the Bushmills distillery.

 

Turkmenistan: Currency redenomination.

It has been officially confirmed that a new manat equal to 1,000 current ones

will be the new monetary unit. New notes are already in the planning stages,

with the highest denomination being a 500 new manat equal to 500,000 old ones.

 

United Arab Emirates: New notes.

A completely new 200 dirhams note dated 2004 has been recently issued.

This note has been kept in reserve for several years, awaiting the exhaustion

of the stock of the older ones. A new 20 dirhams note dated 2007 has a

modified electrotype watermark.
